About our locomotive drawings:

Our drawings are reproductions of the original railroad drawings that were used to build full-size steam engines during the grand steam era. Drawings are produced at a state-of-the-art digital photographic center on machines that set the standard for image quality. The printing unit embeds dry toner into the fibers of the paper, making a permanent, non-erasable copy that resists chipping or flaking. Images are printed as blackline drawings on 20# white paper, from scans of autopositive masters or ink tracings of copies of each original railroad drawing.

Size and pricing:

Our prints are the full size of the original steam locomotive drawings. Most drawings are 1-1/2 inch scale or larger. The price of each drawing generally reflects its approximate size.

Authenticity:

Age markings on our railroad drawings reflect their authenticity. The locomotive plans you receive will be as good as the original copies or ink tracings which, in many cases, are over 75 years old. Each locomotive drawing or tender drawing is copied "as is" and will show whatever torn edges, tape, fading, or wrinkles as existed in the original. The majority of drawings are in very good condition, while a small percentage show more wear. No effort is made to disguise wear and tear appearing on the master drawings.

Shipping:

Custom printed orders can take 1-3 weeks to ship.

Our shipping carrier is UPS. Rates will be provided at checkout and are based on your shipping address. If your country is not available, that means it is in a country which UPS does not ship to.

To avoid creases, your drawings are sent in rolled form, not folded.
